@Jo Dunn @stripybag - Karela are a bit of an acquired taste I would say - they are bitter but delicious with a red lentil dhal. Have a look at my stuffed karela recipe - it’s a classic Punjabi dish but not for everyone!

Hi @stripybag 🙋‍♀️, I did in fact see Kerala at the Exotic Superstore this Saturday and they looked nasty wee beasts, so when I saw people happily stuffing them into plastic bags, I was intrigued? and that's why I looked up @Hari Ghotra's blog on them. Roast green tomatoes, any pics please? 💕

Hi @Jo Dunn, I bought the Kerala in Dicot Saturday Veg market. They are probably in the Exotic though. Something else this weekend, we had roast green tomatoes...really nice, they’ll be in my next curry.🍴👍🍏

Nice dhal used to make the dough and then made into a paratha. And is that fried karela??
