Yes @Mark Harvey I so agree. I'm going to do her Mahaar Chole di dhal next (whole Black Urad Dahl mixed with split Channa Dhal- split Black skinned chickpeas). Love dahls! Also I checked with the dental surgeons that I could eat dahls after the surgery, and as long as I don't add seeds, I'm ok!👩‍🍳💕

My wife uses hing in masala vadai, a kind of veggie burger made with channa dal. It really gives a special flavor to the burgers @tracey Ross @Jo Dunn

It's different @stripybag. No garlic, no ginger. Asafoetida (Hing) instead. Toor Dahl (split pigeon peas). It's thin, like soup. Very nice, though I think I prefer Hari's 💕
