I really believe in the medicinal qualities of herbs spices and freshly made food and usually find a great remedy in something healthy and tasty. I suppose it’s sort of a hobby now and Indian food I believe has an abundance of great things in it @traceyross xx

Ah, a favourite winter drink of mine too! I usually make it with a big mug of milk, add a teaspoon of powdered turmeric and ginger each, slowly bring it up to a boil while whisking, turn down the heat when the foam rises, slowly bring it up to a boil again and then turn the heat off. Add half a tablespoon of honey, and I’m all set. Very warming, makes it easy to fall asleep too!

No worries @Hari Ghotra - she actually likes it that much she was majorly disappointed a few weeks ago that her sore throat got better before she she saw me at the weekend bless!

My recipe: big mugs worth of milk in a pan. Thumb size ginger roughly chopped into milk with 1/2 mug of water, then add 1/2teaspoon of Turmeric, a few cloves, a stick of cassia bark/cinnamon and a couple black peppercorns. Simmer for 20mins...stain through a sieve into your fav mug and add teaspoon of honey at the end. Strangely Delish and always seems to have done the trick for coughs and sore throats.

This is new to me. My recipe is: grated ginger, lemon juice and honey in boiling water. Also good for a sore throat. But I’ll try yours @Damian Green to see how it works.

Judging from her expression, she seems to be enjoying it very much @Damian Green! Actually, I’ve got a sore throat at the moment. I’m going to try it immediately! Thanks for the recipe!!!!
