Hari’s Aloo tikki and Spiced Tomato Chutney. Loved the tikkis in batter and lovely spices. The chutney was gorgeous. Blitzed dried chickpeas to make the flour as no gram flour in my local supermarket, it sieved just like flour. Thank you Hari for the delicious recipes

I made it based on a different recipe @traceyross , with celery. I ended up with a smooth-ish ketchup. It’s somewhere between creamy and chunky.

Oh that sounds a nice recipe too @Arthur vdH thank you for the tips and advice. Would that be a creamy chutney?

I checked the recipe: don’t forget to let the chutney cool down before adding the whey. And then it’s three days on the shelf, not a week. I think it’s something you might try, @Jo dunn and @traceyross !

The tomato chutney looks interesting. Have you ever tried not using vinegar and adding a bit of whey from live yoghurt? Then let it sit on a shelf for a week to ferment. Make sure no mold can get to the chutney (water lock, or a plastic bag filled with salted water). You end up with a wonderful umami-rich ketchup.

Wow @traceyross you made the gram flour too!! How were your ears after that? It’s soooo noisy! Glad the tikki went down well though.
