I’m really pleased Hari is coming to speak on a panel at one of my events next year! It’s called the Self Care Summit for EAs and PAs and we are looking at mental health, food and nutrition, happiness, stress and beyond...I should probably mention I run the national body for EAs, PAs And Admin Assistants. We’ve even got Frank Bruno MBE as our keynote speaker.

I’m not sure if anyone else has found this but cooking Indian food via Hari has not only been amazing to learn but done wonders for my own mental health problems. It gives me space away to focus on something good and helps me fight the demons of depression, stress and anxiety. There I said it...

@Damian Green I think you are amazing! How has being back at work been for you so far? My partner also suffers, especially through winter but we openly talk in our house 🏠 and take each day at a time. 👍👍

I’ve been off work 6 months now which started off with Anxiety and depression, still suffering now really but back to work this week. Can’t believe so many suffer with this horrible mental illness and I definitely agree cooking/ baking in general takes my mind away and fills me with endorphins when I smell and eat the food I’ve made, even more when sharing it and feeding others. My crazy spice cupboard is the first place I go for any ailment these days. Thank you @Hari Ghotra for your support, and good on you for talking at @victoria.darragh event. I actually consider you a personal friend after all this time knowing you, getting help and advise with almost everything. You’re a good egg Hari xx

Always happy to help @Damian Green and it’s so amazing to see the support you give each other too. We are only here for a short time so we need to make the most of it and allow ourselves to just be in the moment.

I am fortunate enough not to have depression (but I know a few people who do), but stress … yeah, stress enough. Cooking Hari’s recipes is relaxing and eating them is such a joy. All is well with the world when I take a bite.

I am so humbled to hear this - we all chug along and struggle through without taking time to just be in the moment and enjoy the here and now. I’ve never thought that what I do could ever help in this way and I am almost tearful to hear that it helps you to come away from the crazy everyday stresses of life. Big love to you all and thank you @victoria.darragh @jo dunn for bringing it to light and stay strong gang! 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

Well done @victoria.darragh and @Hari Ghotra, I have never thought about it but Indian cooking is good for the mental wellbeing and concentration, thinking of other things.

And you're a star for saying it!!!! @victoria.darragh. Well done! I too have muddled along with mental health issues most of my life. But hooray! I'm a survivor! I've learned a mountain of strategies, coping techniques, skills and managements, and I'm so sad that it still has such a negative stigma around it. Cooking for me has always been my creative 'go-to', so finding Hari and learning about all the health benefits of spices has been a very positive road well travelled. Good luck to you and everyone else out there who can find the courage at work and at home, to find the energy and motivation to deal with their stuff! And then go and cook up a great Hari Ghotra curry!🙏💕
