According to my kids and my foodie calendar it's Periodic table today (I know)! Anyway, I found this periodic table of herbs and spices from Barts Spices and thought it was fantastic. I know how you guys love to experiment with spices and herbs so thought you would love this. It's a great little tool to show you the characteristics of different ingredients, different cuisine types and the intensity of them so you can move up and down a column to make more informed choices when choosing what you use. A great way to get #Hari'sCurryCrew cooking even more.
What do you think?

Missing at a glance, horseradish, wasabi, culantro, chilli definitely needs its own chart, such a variation in piquancy and flavours.

I grow 33 out of 43 and have them all on my shelf. + one or two 😁 great idea though, I think I might make my own chart. Trouble is it’s never ending, you’d like to make something definitive; but when you consider there’s over 22,000 edible plants in use around the world 😂

@joncrewgee I wanted to do that too, but it's $35 (Canadian) for shipping, yikes! Guess I'll stick with my PDF version.

You can download a PDF from their website (https://bart-ingredients.co.uk/pdf/periodic-table.pdf), or buy one too (https://market.bart-ingredients.co.uk/products/periodic-table)

It’s very useful thank you. I am now thinking a chive naan instead of the black onion seeds (Nigella) would be nice to try. I use chives a lot so will be good to experiment @Hari Ghotra with flavours.

only 2 things I've never cooked with: galangal (can't find that) and long pepper, which looks so interesting!

I got it😀 @sgeist. Tap the picture and then zoom out on the black screen or rotate your phone to the right then the pictures appear. Strange but it works.

@Andypsilon me too. I have a Google pixel 2 and just get that black screen. I'll try and find it elsewhere; I really want to see this! I love the concept.

Ok. I have a Huawei P20 with Android 9.0. @boo @Jo dunn. Maybe it's a problem of Android🤔 If I tap on the picture only a black screen is opening.

I love it! Come to think of it: three meals a day means a periodic table too!

It's a funny tool @Hari Ghotra. Unfortunately I can not zoom into or open a picture in your app. Maybe it's only an issue with my mobile phone?
