I made keema curry, tarka daal, chicken curry and chicken biryani last night. Sorry didn't take photos last night, these are the left overs for today. Friends really enjoyed the dishes and were very impressed. Just wondered if someone has cooked Biryani before? This was my first attempt. Is it generally a dry dish? What would you cook with Biryani as a side dish? What is Rasam @Hari Ghotra ? I read there is normally Rasam to go with Biryani. Thanks

Lovely looking dishes @Neelu you usually have a Salan with biryani. I gave a Mirch ka salan recipe on the app. I like having it with dhal too. Thanks for sharing so glad everyone loved it!

thank you for the tips @Jo dunn. You are absolutely right. Biryani was really tasty actually. Not bad for first time. My family love meat dishes, hence keema and chicken curry. Biryani and tarka daal were so good together. I love cooking. thanks @Arthur vdH

Hi @Neelu, several of us cooked Chicken Biryani as a Friday night cookalong with Hari once. You should find this under videos in the app, (Friday night curry club). Yes, it's a dry-ish dish. It's a whole world of its own, so doesn't need anything to go with it. (but you can make yogurt raita or chutney, but it's a sumptuous standalone dish IMO. Rasam is a consommé, like a thin soup when you're cold. under the weather, or in need of nourishment. Recipes are all in the app. Lots of luck! Btw, your dishes look really great! 👩‍🍳💕
