Two #recipeoftheweek s today: ossobucco-ish goat and Sri Lankan beetroot curry, with roti. Taste of the ossobucco was great, but it came out a bit yellow instead of reddish. That’s probably becaus I used fresh tomatoes instead of tinned plum tomatoes. I made the beetroot curry with coconut milk, starting from mustard oil. It doesn’t become too sweet Hari, you needn’t change the recipe. The two dishes combine well too!

It’s the ossobuco recipe that Hari posted a week or two ago, only cooked with goat @stripeybag . Try it, whether with veal, lamb or goat. You’ll love it, I’m sure.

Thanks @hvondrus . I don’t really mind about the colour. It was just an interesting departure from the original dish.

Yeah, I didn’t really brown the onions, just softened them @Jo dunn . And I noticed before that goat doesn’t go really dark. I guess that explains it. Do try the beetroot curry btw. It doesn’t just look good, it is delicious too!

Looks fab @Arthur vdH 😋 !!
Re the colour it went dark (from yellow) with all the browning of the meat and onions, then I used a lot of tinned tomatoes and I also ended up adding 1 large tbsp tomato purée to get it to be the same colour as Hari's photo. But yellow sauce is good too 👍💕
