It is a bit sweet, Sue, but also sour, quite tangy. The tang is more dominant than the sweet. I put in less jaggery than the 2tbsps in the recipe - (pre diabetes etc). I put about 1tbsp so divided by four servings.... not too bad. With the vinegar and chillies and star anise, it's full on flavour, (also has onions, cumin, garlic). @Sue Geen 💕
