Just need to tweak it add more carrot reduce the chilly and you can add a bit of brown sugar @bill when you dip your samosa or pakora it comes into its own!

I love it. the carrot makes it sweet. it's great with samosas and pakoras. regulate heat by adjusting the chilli. I've made it several times now ,- it's best when made with reconstituted tamarind block/paste. @Jo dunn

Can’t say I I‘m really over enthusiastic about it. It’s very hot 🥵 a bit runny ( perhaps too much water ) and not so sweet as tomato chutney.

Yeah I‘d like to try that @Jo dunn , but can’t find the spice Kalonji seeds . Does anyone know what they are?
