Fenugreek leaves substitute
Making Methi Murgh in my new slow cooker. Can’t get fenugreek leaves of any sort. What can I use as substitute @Hari Ghotra ? Looked it up on the internet but it said depending on the recipe depicts which sub is best. Any suggestions? Ta

No @Sue Geen . Didn’t get there - using herb fenugreek at the moment. It’s a fabulous recipe. Delicious.

Thanks @Sue Geen and @Hari Ghotra . I got fenugreek herb and used that. I have a large Sainsbury’s that I will be at today so will look. Failing that will order from Hari. Food was amazing - forgot picture 🙄. Enjoying the slow cooker Indian experience.

Hi @day_kate if you can’t get Methi I suggest using spinach instead making it into saag wala murgh.

have you got a dainsburys near you @day_kate ? they sell kasoori methi (dried methi) in their world food section.

Thanks . Saw quite a few substitutes but it said to be careful what to use depending on recipe. Just looked online and Tesco have them but my chicken is in slow cooker just now 😩
