Hey Hari
l've often thought about grinding my own spice mix powders - garam Masaaki etc. Is there a whole spice grinder that you would recommend? l've tried hand grinders, but find them a wee bit too rough texture wise?
Thanks 👍

Just bought a premium 200 watt coffee and spice grinder by Cookhouse Professional through Amazon not expensive with two separate bowls for wet and dry grinding makes it easy to clean just ideal!

Hey @Andrew I have the cuisinart spice and nut grinder which I do like. It's not great for small amounts but I use the pestle and mortar for little bits. Totally agree with @Steviewilcox the aromatics from freshly ground spices is far better then grinding in large batches.

Hi there! a friend recommend a James Martin electric spice grinder. For me it works really well and the difference in flavour is enormous esp. if you Gently dry fry the whole spices before hand. It's taken my curries to the next level. I grind what I need that day and no more so that the spice are as freshly ground as possible. Enjoy!
