Happy Vaisakhi to all my Sikh brothers and sisters today - it’s a very special day in our calendar and I know many will be struggling as we cannot be with our loved ones or visit the Gurdwara to give thanks. But we can still give thanks in our own way at home.
We celebrate the mother earth and the harvest and the foundations of our faith. If you want to find out more here are some details https://www.harighotra.co.uk/blog/news/happy-vaisakhi
It is traditional to eat saag made with mustard leaves and makki di roti (roti made with corn) so why not get cooking here’s what you need.

Hi Hari
I have some lovely fresh spinach and cima di rape. Thought I would make this dish and serve it with polenta as i’m in Italy. Kind of italo/punjabi dish!
I have a question. Do you need to put any water in the pressure cooker or is the excess water enough?
Thanks, hope you and yours are safe and staying sane!

Thank you for sharing this @Hari Ghotra - I love the idea of celebrating Nature and harvest. Part of what we need the most in life 🧡

Brilliant blog article you have written about Basakhi.

A very happy Basakhi to you also.

Will you be showing us how to make saag. And also Makhi di roti. I don’t know many people who make it any more.
