It’s almost Friday, so guess what that means? It’s time for another #fridaycurryclub and this week we’re going to be cooking the gorgeous Keralan fish curry! 😋🙌🏽 I’m so excited for this dish, it’s a lush, coconutty flavour, that works great with a meatier fish - I’m using a mixture of cod and prawns, but if you’re not a seafood fan, this dish works great with chicken. Or, if you prefer a veggie option, this is awesome with paneer, aubergine, spinach or peppers. Definitely not one to miss! I’m also going to teach you how to make a different kind of rice side dish, which works great with this curry. Join us at 6:15pm BST this Friday to join https://youtu.be/LQYr4-JZOVI If you are going to join me this is what you’ll need: 750g firm white fish cut into chunks ½ tsp turmeric ½ tsp salt 1 tbsp Coconut oil 1 tsp mustard seeds 20 curry leaves 5 shallots, finely sliced 4 garlic cloves, finely sliced 3cm piece of ginger, finely sliced 1-2 green chilli, finely sliced 1 tbsp Kashmiri chilli powder (this can be reduced to suit your taste, if unsure use 1tsp) ½ tsp turmeric 4 tomatoes, chopped 400ml tin coconut milk Handful coriander, chopped For the rice you will need: 1 tbsp vegetable oil 1 tsp cumin seeds 1 tsp salt 1 tsp butter 50ml cream 260g Basmati rice Pinch of saffron Check out my website for the recipe: https://www.harighotra.co.uk/keralan-fish-curry-recipe
