Chickpea curry. This recipe uses carom seeds, and as I didn't have them I used thyme instead. It's very weird for me to use thyme in an Indian dish as I find thyme a really European flavour. What do you think @Hari Ghotra? And everyone else, do you think thyme can be used as a substitute for carom seeds? I'd like to know what you think.
