hi hari ,I have a pear tree and was thinking about doing a chutney with the pears , would I just make like a mango 🥭 chutney..

Great thanks, picked the pears this morning need to go shopping for the sugar will post a pic when done ✔ 😀

I have made it like this in the past - pear and ginger is good too.

1kg pears, peeled, cored and diced
500-750g onions, peeled and diced
3 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
150g red currents/ginger sliced
400g brown sugar
1 tsp cumin, crushed
1 tsp coriander, crushed seeds
1/2 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder or 3 whole dried
1tsp kalongi seeds
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp salt
710ml cider vinegar
160g tomato puree

1. Prep the pears and onions and put them into a deep saucepan.
2. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Add the remaining
ingredients. Bring to the boil, then reduce to a low simmer. Cook for 1 hour until thick.
3. Ladle into hot sterilised pint jars, wipe jar rims, and seal.
