I actually think it’s quite a sweet dish but it comes from the sweet vegetables. I don’t like to add sugar to my dishes but it is totally down to personal preference so by all means add a little sugar if you want to. Hope that helps too @daren.lowry

@daren.lowry I must admit I did change the recipe slightly, by adding a little sugar to increase the sweetness and a bit more green chilli.

@Terry Buck Looks good. I'm a big fan of an Indian restaurant dhansak, because I like the sweetness combined with the heat and the lentils. I haven't cooked this yet and wondered whether you get the same type of sweetness? I wasn't sure that you would looking at the ingredients. What was it like? Love the Bombay Aloo - definitely time I cooked that again!
