Love mulled wine, never make it anymore. Maybe this year!
Yes that’s the hard part . But house smells amazing .
Ohhh nice idea @melnwendy26 apart from the temptation to drink mulled wine first thing in the morning 😆
Hi Hari. The same as you but I use Muscovado sugar +. I pouch pears in it over night in slow cooker 😋
In Switzerland we have Glühwein. Added ginger, piment, gloves along with lemon and orange,sliced, adding only little bit of Sugar, not boiling it just bring it before the boiling let it sook for 1 hour and heat it again
@Hari Ghotra Thanks!
yes, I warm it up along with the wine.
Sounds amazing too @shereinelzein do you warm it up to drink it?
Wow 😳 @Andy Hill chilli seeds amazing!!
I do the same, only difference is l use allspice
I make a spice syrup w/o carmalised sugar for as I prefer the spice aroma more potent and pronounced and also more convenient to have it anytime and per glass of wine according to taste. I use the same spices in addition to juniper berries, green cardamoms, all spice, orange and lemon rind. let them come to a boil in water and then add freshly squeezed orange and lemon juice to them and simmer till the mixture gets concentrated to half its volume. Pass it through a sieve and bottle it with a small dash of vanilla extract on top or add it to carmalised sugar and simmer gently till sugar dissolves then bottle it.
Oh and also a good glug of brandy to keep the alcohol 🍸 levels up.
very similar to my recipe but I infuse a teaspoon of chilli seeds which gives me that extra warmth and go back to need 😈
Yes to mulled wine! I used the same spices or nearly as you have except I would infuse them in a little grape juice then add the wine, just warming it through so as not to lose any alcohol!
100% I use sugar substitute - not for me, but my friends - and sub 2-3 green cardamom pods for the bay leaves. 😋
Absolutely!!!
Most Definitely Yes. I use pretty much the same recipe
