Happy Wednesday guys - I hope you are all having a fantastic week. We need to get ready again so who is going to cook with me for week's #FridayCurryClub? I thought we should do something a bit more hands on and a bit different so we will be cooking Momo's and a delicious achaar to go with them. Momo's are little Nepalese bites that are similar to Chinese dumplings which can be fried or steamed and they are delicious. If you want to make a meal of why not marinade some chicken wings or paneer in my tandoori marinade and get them prepped beforehand for a full on Friday night snack fest! I will be using minced chicken but you can use grated paneer and peas or for a vegan option shredded cabbage and mixed veg is great too. Join me here https://youtu.be/-kQ4GCkjw14 at 6.15pm - so set your timers!! This is what you will need: For the Momo filling: 500g of minced chicken (or a meat free alternative) 4-5 spring onions 1-2 chillies 4 cloves garlic 5cm piece of ginger 1 tsp coriander seeds, crushed 1 tsp turmeric 1 tsp cumin seeds, crushed 2 tbsp oil 1tsp salt or 1 tsp soy sauce Handful of fresh coriander leaves For the Momo wrappers: 300g Plain flour Pinch of salt Water For the Momo Achaar: 200ml water 3 large ripe tomatoes 4-5 dried Kashmiri chillies 4 cloves garlic 7cm ginger 1 tbsp sugar 1 tbsp vinegar ½ tsp salt 1 tsp soy sauce Is this your kind of dish?
