I have 2 questions .
How long should I soak urad dall chilka for? usually do it overnight but forgot and I want to get ahead of tomorrows lunch. I have read anything between 4-8 hours??
Q.2 How long can I marinade the chicken for for your murgh sag wala. Could I do it last thing tonight without it being overly marinaded, again for lunch tomorrow.

Hari, thanks for replying. The urid dhal is black. It has been soaking since 9 this morning. I’m going to make Dal Makhani in the pressure cooker. Thought I may do it tonight. ?
Confused my chicken recipes. No marinading needed for the sag wala🤣🤦‍♀️.

Are you cooking dhal in a pressure cooker - ideally do it over night tonight and cook the dhal in the morning. Are you doing black dhal?
Chicken - what are you marinading in? You can cook this dish today and then just reheat tomorrow.
