Sorry Hari. I had to cook one of Ricks curries saturday night. I have abandoned him for far too long😁.
Madras fish ( and prawn) curry with plain basmati. Got to the fish market late so little choice left for this curry where you need a meaty fish. So I bought Palombo ( common smooth hound, gummy shark). It has just one large bone like monkfish so it is a pleasure to eat and satisified my craving for a fish curry😋

@Debbie Gorman we had rain here too - first time this month. started 5 mins after I lit the BBQ. Not the first time I've BBQed in the rain. Hari's chicken tikka kebabs - definitely worth getting a wet back.
I've never heard of wild asparagus - presumably not a lot different from the tame variety🤷‍♂️. I hope there was some for you 😁

😂 we have had rain today on and off so the locals will be out wild asparagus hunting.!! My friend grows it and sometimes he gives me some.

I think you're right Debbie. it's the start of the asparagus season and I'll be eating it at every opportunity 😋 but after 6 weeks I'll be happy not to see it again for another 10 months 😝

@Gordon Moore we are in that inbetween phase. All the leafy greens are no longer in season which is a shame because we eat a ton . peppers are expensive because they are being grown in greenhouses at the noment . Asparagus has just come into the shops. Too early for peas snd broad beans. So we wait. But , I love living with the seasons and waiting all year for certain fruits and veg. It is extraordinary how your body starts to want something and not want other stuff like salad during the winter and spring months. But I never need to be asked twice about a curry!!

@Debbie Gorman won't be long until fresh fruit & veg will be plentiful. I do like a tomato 🍅 based Acqua Pazza for lunch on a warm sunny day - along with a glass of chilled white 🥂😀

@Gordon Moore 🦈😂 yeah, it isn’t a beautiful thing to behold is it🤔. It was tasty but not up there with my faves. I made it with good quality tinned toms but I think fresh when they are in season would produce a better result!

I'm sure I've done that recipe quite some time ago, but not with shark 🦈 - although I do like my curries with a bite to them (sorry 😬) I much prefer the pic of the final result to the first one. looks delicious 😋
