So i made a lamb karahi on Sunday this week.

I have to adapt the recipes as I have developed allergies to tomatoes and certain types of chillies

I use tomatillos instead to replace the tomatoes and it gives the city a lovely acidity

I also like a bit more sauce so I leave it a bit thinner.

that was the lamb shoulder I used from one of our local farms that has texel lamb breed

Lamb looks amazing!! Great choice to use tomatillo but surprised you are ok with that and not tomatoes. That’s interesting as I thought they would have the same effect but you are fine with them? @Katrina Maylan

@Katrina Maylan i am not tollerant to silanacees and tomatillos are from the same species like Aubergine Potatoes Peppers and chillies too

@elisabethjohl no problem I am loving in California and the are readily available you can buy tinned ones on Amazon in the UK or grow them if you have a garden
