A very kind person recently sent me some cassia bark 🙂 Despite having several Asian food stores nearby, which sell just about everything I can imagine, none of them sells cassia bark, only cinnamon. I know cinnamon and cassia are not exactly the same but I can't actually tell any difference myself, although so far, I've only tried them in spicy curries. Maybe my taste buds are not as sensitive as they used to be. I'm looking forward to trying the cassia in some less spicy food. Anyway, many thanks to that lovely person who sent me the cassia, I'm very pleased to have it in my larder 🙂 P.S. I noticed in a shop nearby another name "Dalchini".
