Poor you @Jo Dunn☹️
Poor you @Jo Dunn 😩
Thank you @Hari Ghotra hope you enjoyed your day too.
Thank you @Hari Ghotra . I am very sore today, (looking like I've gone a couple of rounds with Mike Tyson 🤕 ) and feeling proper poorly 🤒 , so I'll have a go at rasam, when it's healed a bit more. Sounds awesome, like Indian penicillin soup for the soul.
Day boating @traceyross - still cutting comments off. Will raise it with the IT bods!
Oh dear sounds sore @Jo Dunn hope you feel better soon. The rasam is also a good one for you to try. @Sue Geen loves it. Loving the pic of your dhal @traceyross and Happy birthday. Looks like you had a great day boating!
I must work out the calories on MyFitnessPal @Sue Geen but never had any naan bread so that’s my excuse ha ha
Ouch hope you feel better soon @Jo Dunn, nice curries/dhal will help.
Any excuse for dhal @Sue Geen ! Bit drastic this time, tho. What was it Pam Ayres wrote? 'Oh I wish I'd looked after me teef '.... Still, it'll mean LOADSA dhal ALL this week! Any more recipes guys?
😞 @Jo Dunn . but as you say, good excuse to have some dhal!
Told you they're good ! 😁😂🤣. I'll have to make a pot myself. Just had major emergency dental surgery, 2 hrs in his chair, aarggh, feeling very sore and sorry for myself, so no solid food. 👎
haha. reminds me of my daughter's comment while dieting. 'i was eating lentils because I thought they were healthy and I'd lose weight' - yes, but not if you eat a pit meant for 4. 😂😂
Thank you @Jo Dunn it was very good only thing we ate a double portion so it’s all done.
Thanks for your advice and tips @Sue Geen on the moon masoor di dhal. I must try that. I’ve bought three dhals including the red lentils so far and liked the look of the mixed lentils. Really loved the first dhal I knew it was going to be a regular dinner. It’s nice getting advice from the Indian grocery store too so very helpful. I was amazed at all the lentils.
HOORAY ! Excellent @traceyross, well done, you made one!. The humble red lentil dhal! SO good! The best dhal ever, IMO! Really excited that you made it, Tracey😚👍😁 Yay! I'll bet you make this over and over again.💕
looking good @traceyross . if you can get them you could mix in toor dhal and split urid dhal. I do this using the moong masoor di dhal recipe 50gms of each. each bean gives a slightly different texture. the cooking time and method is the same. I have also toasted the urid dhal in a frying pan before cooking (this was recommended by the guy as my Indian grocers, who was somewhat perturbed when I went in buying loads of different dhals! 😁) and this is really tasty.
